The history section contains some back & forth editing dealing with statues named Gordon so I thought some extra clarification may help others research before further editing:
Outside Robert Gordon's College the statue (by T.Stuart Burnett) is of "Charles George Gordon" (killed at Khartoum).
The statue in Golden square is inscribed "George, the Fifth and Last Duke of Gordon".
There is no statue of Robert Gordon (original benefactor of the college) that I know of.
