Title: Chakosi, Chokosi, Anufo?

[edit]

The English name for this language in ISO 639 3, Ethnologue, Glottolog, Grambank, and WALS sites is "Anufo" and not "Chakosi".

In the titles of publications listed on Glottolog, "Chakosi" is used once, "Chokosi" is used three times ("tchokossi" is used in French titles), and "Anufo" is used three times in English, and several more times in German, French, and Anufo itself.

I'd say that given this, the title in the English Wikipedia should be "Anufo language", and "Chakosi" and "Chokosi" should be mentioned as variants.

@Kwamikagami, @Atavoidirc, other opinions? Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 19:09, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Note that I've (maybe) fixed whatever was going on with this. @Atavoidirc only page-movers and admins can swap pages, please request swaps at WP:RMTR. Charlotte (Queen of Heartstalk) 02:01, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. That takes care of the proposed move, which I don't know that anyone opposes. — kwami (talk) 08:55, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
