Property used in ancient India and even today
[edit]This is not a new thing. Water was stored in copper vessels to disinfect it. Ancient Indians (at least) always drank water from gold, silver and copper/brass/bronze containers and ate food in silver, brass plates.-59.95.27.52 (talk) 16:34, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
All ancient nations learned about copper first. Then came bronze and then came Iron Age… i.e copper was known to man before steel or aluminium or stainless steel… I would suggest you have any mentions from ancient Indian script to corroborate what is being said. Why no mention of pertinent descriptive technical term?
[edit]This whole article is essentially about one well-studied case of oligodynamism, which has a page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oligodynamic_effect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.153.180.229 (talk) 17:02, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
The term was inserted and Wiki-linked. Thank you. The mechanisms are described specifically for copper in this article. Enviromet (talk) 20:48, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

- I can’t find how to create a new topic, so I’m here. Sorry. First thing: I think this article should be merged with the Copper article. Second thing: Why is there a paragraph on'E. coli' in an article about copper? 2001:569:5657:1000:EC90:F2E8:7CC2:86DE (talk) 05:13, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
