This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the article provides criteria for his importance: he was knighted in 1986 (which meets WP:NAWARD) and received another honours; because he has an entry in the UK version of Who's Who (published by Oxford University Press) and because he was an ambassador. —Noswall59 (talk) 18:23, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
