Why 1931?
[edit]Why do we disambiguate it as a 1931 film if it was premiered in December 1930 and therefore must have been made no later than 1930? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 11:24, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- It was originally described as being released in 1931, apparently based on older content in the Greta Garbo article. This was changed when the Garbo article itself was changed, based on reliable biographical sources, but it can't be disambiguated as "1930 film" because that's the title of the article on the English-language version. "German film" is possible, but not technically accurate – it's a German-language U.S. film, which is ridiculously long for a parenthetical disambiguator. I half-intended to switch it to "German version", which corresponds to the name on de:Wikipedia, but never got around to it. Any alternative suggestions? Fat&Happy (talk) 16:29, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
