Loaded Words
"AHEPA was founded in response to the evils of bigotry spearheaded by the Ku Klux Klan and to assist Greek immigrants assimilate into American society."
This is clearly not a neutral statement and should be rewritten. Wikipedia is not a pulpit, whether or not you are right.Pepe Oats (talk) 15:45, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Very late, but I took out that wording and left the more neutral informational bits. - Whisperjanes (talk) 04:53, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Major problems with the wording
This article has almost no in-line citations to verify the information, and is written with so much WP:PUFFERY and promotional tones, that I feel like it needs a major overhaul. It almost seems like it should be reverted to an earlier version like this one, or maybe something more recent (while merging any of the other currently cited information).
Either way, a lot of the current text is written like an essay with almost no substantial information, and it seems like more work to rewrite than it would be to just scrap and start anew. I am going to start cutting out major, large parts of this article per WP:PROMOTIONAL. If anyone disagrees, please discuss here. Just keep in mind, information is welcome to be added back in, as long as it has a reliable source and is written with a neutral tone. - Whisperjanes (talk) 04:14, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- It seems like a lot of the promotional wording was a copyright violation, so I have removed it. - Whisperjanes (talk) 05:11, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
