Fair use rationale for Image:Todosmisexitos1.jpg
[edit]Image:Todosmisexitos1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 27 May 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved to All My Hits: Todos Mis Exitos. Moving to a different title is uncontroversial, and the colon seems to have the most support. (non-admin closure) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 18:13, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
All My Hits Vol. 1 → All My Hits/Todos Mis Exitos – The album was never called All My Hits Vol. 1, the record company did not announce a follow-up until nine months after the album's release. The article should reflect what the album is called. – jona ✉ 19:28, 23 May 2022 (UTC) – jona ✉ 19:28, 23 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. >>> Extorc.talk 11:16, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 14:04, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- I can't say for certain about the slash as I can't find sources for it, but at least Allmusic is using a colon: [1], which might be more consistent, but I believe Todos Mis Exitos means the same thing rather than being a subtitle, so I'm not sure if a colon would be right. - Billboard uses both a colon (in its "Latin Notas" section) as well and a slash (not a forward slash, in its chart rankings). The album cover looks like a special character. Not sure what would be best, I just know "Vol. 1" was not what the album was called until nine months after its release. – jona ✉ 21:52, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support move to All My Hits: Todos Mix Exitos per RIAA. This is what the album is officially known as. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 20:48, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

Review may take up to a few hours to set up. To start things, in the lead section, the word "exploitative" seems to be missing a syllable. Possibly the phrase "since entering the music industry", might be simplified to, "...since its release." ErnestKrause (talk) 16:05, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
Start Review comments
[edit](1) Lead section comments will be done as the last section reviewed. See short comments made above at start comments.
(2) Background section. The background is fairly fully covered in her biobraphy article and does not generally need to be reduplicated in two paragraphs. A one paragraph version of the Background section should be enough, about half of the current length; it should not reduplicate what is stated in the main Biography article.
- Done
(3) Music section. You state that "producers were most likely regretting their decision" which appears to refer to their originally shelving this song; whatever the explanation is, then it should be cleared in this sentence.
- The decision to shelve those songs is unknown. – jona ✉ 17:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
(4) The enumeration of tracks in the Music section seems a little linear in its approach. Would readers prefer to read about the most exemplary stand-out hits on this compilation first, as an option on how to present this section, and before they read about the songs in linear sequence of "This one was first, and this one was second, and this one was third...
- Only mentioning the "stand-outs" would not be a better choice since the section is about the songs featured on the album. – jona ✉ 17:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
(5) Critical responses section. Is the most significant fact presented that Selena had more postumous song releases, than those released during her life? What were the main things that reviews had say in their commentaries about the best features of this compilation release? Were there any surprises for them? Did they learn anything new about Selena which they previously did not know?
- If I had found any reviews to match what you're asking, then they would have appeared in the critical reception section. As of right now, what is written in the critical reception section is all that I have been able to locate using WP:Library resources and offline sources at my disposal. – jona ✉ 17:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
(6) Release section and Marketing performance sections should both come before the Critical responses section. They presently come after; this should be reversed.
- Done
(7) Release and marketing may not specify that this section is concerned with issues of Promotion for this compilation album. Possibly consider calling the section Promotion and release.
- Done
(8) Commercial performance section. The first sentence about forecasting should be put in the Release, Marketing Promotion section above it. Performance is usually interested in sales numbers and chart performance. It should be about sales number and chart performance.
- Done
(9) Track listing, Charts, Certification section all appear to be accurate and correct.
(10) Legacy section. There is no Legacy section in this article. Did this compilation inspire any artists to cover any of the songs on this compilation after it was released. What is the history of the Legacy of covers for Selena's songs in general, and is any of that Legacy represented on the songs which appear in the compilation?
- If such sources existed, they would have been mentioned. I have exhausted what is available for me to use in this article. I don't think that a new section that discusses cover versions of the songs listed in this album would stay in focus and it would be irrelevant to this album since all of the songs on this album were released prior to this album's existence. – jona ✉ 17:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
That should get the review started; let me know if I can add any information to the edit comments above. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:37, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- AJona1992 Since you are asking for a GA for this article to go along with the GA for the biography article for her, then the two articles should be consistent with each other. I am noticing that you do not mention this album in the Legacy section of the Selena article, or in the Discography section there. It seems that this album is part of her Legacy and should be covered in the main biography article. ErnestKrause (talk) 14:53, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
- This GA review should be about this article and not any other articles. This is a GA review of All My Hits not Selena. – jona ✉ 14:37, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- The number of links to this article could be enhanced, and checking the number of links to and from an article is a part of the GAN process for any nominated article; it would be nice if there would be 3-4 more links to this article. ErnestKrause (talk) 19:35, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- I believe a few dozen suffices. – jona ✉ 19:18, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
