Alkaline pastaAlkaline noodles – "Alkaline noodles" seems to be the WP:COMMONNAME for this dish. (Ngram results can be seen here; see also the disparity in Google Scholar results for "alkaline noodles" vs. "alkaline pasta".) Additionally, this dish appears to be mainly used in East Asian cuisines, whereas the term "pasta" is more affiliated with Italian cuisine instead. Should we keep pasta on this article in general?

[edit]

From what I can tell, alkaline pasta is not a traditional pasta dish in any region of the world. The original name of this article was alkaline pasta, and it's even been populated by pasta images, but these appear to be idiosyncratic in origin.

I only hesitate as removing pasta would also necessitate removing all the images in this article. Docsisbored (talk) 21:30, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've decided to be bold, since I genuinely cannot find evidence of alkaline pasta being notable in any way. Feel free to revert if you disagree. Docsisbored (talk) 22:21, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
