[edit]

Is there any problem of WikiPedia policy if the following is added under section 'external links' or by other name? Someone seems to have objection about it.

Publications

[edit]

For some reason there is an edit conflict about an edit that includes mention of a book.[1][2] The other editor expressed a concern that this is starting to veering toward promotional territory. WP:PROMO.[3] A non-promotional listing of the book in a "publications" section is how other articles handle this issue. So I have implemented that. Any reviews of the book by reliable published sources would go in a different section. User generated reviews (like on Amazon) or promotion blurbs by booksellers are not considered reliable under Wikipedia rules. -- Toddy1 (talk) 11:07, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that its inclusion in the body of the article would be promotional. There is no reliable source that has mentioned the publication of this book as a noteworthy event in relation to Ali Sina. It is a self-published work and has not received any attention from secondary sources. As to its inclusion in a "publications" section, I can't find any guidance on Wikipedia regarding that. Your version seems alright. Can you please put your advice in the topic - 'Adding websites as external link' (on this talk page)? Kawrno Baba (talk) 07:06, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
