as a play on words Medved translated means BEAR as in animal

in the European Championships Istanbul 1967 (or 6) he was beaten by the Turkish heavyweight Ahmed Ayik...Ayik translated into English is Bear...they were both Bears then but none were BARE as in ancient Greek Pallestra....Wrestling/Boxing.

Instead, he tried to attack the other leg.
