Moved to Albany, Alabama. This is a WP:Bartender's close. There is consensus to move the page, but without a specific consensus as to the target, I am going with the most popular option. I also find Netholic's example to be unpersuasive, because the Decatur in Alabama is not the primary Decautur, unlike examples from Los Angeles and Louisville. bd2412 T 04:03, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
Albany, Decatur → Albany, Decatur, Alabama – "Albany, Decatur" implies that "Decatur" is a state. If it were a neighborhood, it would be "Albany, Decatur, Alabama", since Decatur, Alabama is not the primary topic for "Decatur." 146.229.240.200 (talk) 07:14, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
Rename to Albany, Morgan County, Alabamaper WP:USPLACE:"A placename that needs additional disambiguation should include its county or parish (e.g., Elgin, Lancaster County, South Carolina, and Elgin, Kershaw County, South Carolina)."
╠╣uw [talk] 11:56, 12 November 2017 (UTC)- Move to Albany, Alabama. Originally I thought (wrongly) that we had multiple Albanies in Alabama; since there's only one, we can just move the article to Albany, Alabama per USPLACE. I also agree with Station1's rationale below for using the city, state convention. ╠╣uw [talk] 23:14, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose - current name falls in line with other similar articles on neighborhoods within cities. See Category:Neighborhoods in Los Angeles and Category:Neighborhoods in Louisville, Kentucky for copious examples. -- Netoholic @ 19:21, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
- Correction- "Decatur" is not the primary topic for cities in the United States named "Decatur." Decatur, Illinois appears to be. 146.229.240.200 (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
- Move back to Albany, Alabama, the article's original title and currently a redirect. It's true that neighborhoods usually take the form of the current title, but in this case Albany is a former city even though not currently one, and is not ambiguous in Alabama (so county is not needed), and "Albany, Alabama" seems a little more straightforward. If nothing else WP:IAR applies in this unusual case. Station1 (talk) 08:15, 13 November 2017 (UTC)
