Proposed merge with Tafsir al-Thalabi

[edit]

User:Dbachmann has suggested merging this page with Tafsir al-Thalabi. My instinct would have been to keep them separate. But I do note that the Encyclopaedia of Islam, 2nd edn., only has an entry for al-Thalabi, and quite a short one at that, most of which comprises information about his two works, which don't seem to have been studied much. So the merge might be the most sensible option. (Rippin, A., “al-T̲h̲aʿlabī”, in: Encyclopaedia of Islam, Second Edition, Edited by: P. Bearman, Th. Bianquis, C.E. Bosworth, E. van Donzel, W.P. Heinrichs. Consulted online on 29 November 2017 <http://dx.doi.org/10.1163/1573-3912_islam_SIM_7517>

Tafsir al-Thalabi is about his work. This article is about himself. I suggest not to merge them; of course there is a lot of room to expand this article. Cabolitæ (talk) 19:22, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that these pages should be kept separate: both could be expanded a lot, notwithstanding the brief coverage in the Encyclopedia of Islam. Alarichall (talk) 09:19, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given the consensus not to merge. Klbrain (talk) 22:46, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Abu Ishaq al-Tha'labi lived in Arabian Abbasid Caliphate era, that time there nothing call Iranian scholars, also, in his books never mention his race is Persian.
