Early Muslim source via Le Strange

@Al Ameer son: hi. I found something you introduced a long, long time ago where I cannot fully follow you. You might have the answer or not, or now you might see it differently. Here it is: your 2008 edit, and my difficulty in understanding the source (see edit summary). For now I've applied the safest "common denominator", you can see if you remember how you figured out it's Muqaddasi, or if not, we can leave it as it is now. @Arminden: Good work, once again. It is definitely not al-Muqaddasi as I previously had it. Idem likely is referencing both Yaqut al-Hamawi (Yak.) and the author of the Marasid al-itilla (Mar.), whose author is not certain (may be a certain Safi al-Din about whom nothing else is known). The Marasid is practically a copy of Yaqut's work with Yaqut's place descriptions reduced to one line. Therefore, it makes plenty sense that idem would be referring to both sources. Le Strange has the abbreviations on page 13 and summary descriptions of Yaqut's work and the Marasid on pages 9–10. Also, thanks for clarifying that le Strange himself was the one stating this village's identification as the "the Carmel mentioned in Joshua xv. 55".--Al Ameer (talk) 21:00, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
