Moors

[edit]

I believe that word Moors don't be used. Even if he can be correct it has negative racist connotations. Is better to say Muslims.--88.16.141.51 (talk) 18:12, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moors is the historical appelation and there is absolutely nothing "racist" in the term in the English language. (collounsbury (talk) 00:28, 8 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Also the reference there to Moors properly brings one to the specific page on Moors (that is the sub-set of Muslims relevant to the Andalous and neighouring territories. (collounsbury (talk) 00:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Shouldn't the title of this article (and its reference in the article on Algarve) be 'Gharb al-Andalus'? There is no source given for this name but 'the west of al-Andalus' in Arabic would be 'Gharb al-Andalus' while 'al-gharb al-Andalus' would mean something among the lines of 'The west al-Andalus'.83.134.96.201 (talk) 22:07, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Six maps...

... but only one shows the region "al-gharb" listed. Aren't they a bit too many? --Roksanna (talk) 20:39, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
