Article life

[edit]

I have read the article about age-segregated communities in a newspaper and noticed that the term was not searchable in wikipedia. After more effort a found a suitable redirect target, Age-restricted community. While doing the search I was surprized (again) to find that the topic of age segregation has several meanings and broadly discussed, but its coverage in wikipedia is close to zero. And once again I am to boldly go where no wikipedian has gone before and where I have zero knowledge. Laudak (talk) 18:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal

[edit]

I like the idea of putting more Sociology related pages on Wikipedia. I am interested in child integration into adult-life and various age groups in non-Western societies such as Indigenous American communities. Would anyone have input on the idea of a new page regarding this different practice of age integration? Gblakistone (talk) 17:46, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed edits

[edit]

I would like to add a better more solid definition of age segregation. I would like to elaborate on the causes and effects, as well as areas and demographics age segregation is seen the most.
