74.199.14.141 Edits

[edit]

I've reveted IP 74.199.14.141's edits to the article because they are a) not supported by sources, b) some of them actually contradict the cited sources.

  1. Al-Jundi family was not Sunni, they were certainly Ismaili, as attested by Hanna Batatu. Some of the family, including Abd al-Karim, later did convert to Sunni Islam, but that's beside the point.
  2. The family Abd al-Karim was born to, was a poor branch of the rich al-Jundi family. And even considering the overall family, their wealth would pale with regards to the real notable in Hama (those of al-Azm) and even in Masyaf (al-Mir).
  3. I have seen no source that claims that he was an Athiest. It's a probability, but, it's not our place to speculate on that matter.
  4. It's also a possibility that he was ordered dead by Hafez Assad, but most sources seem to agree that he actually killed himself when he felt cornered (Batatu, Moubayed, Seale). Yazan (talk) 07:52, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
