Why did you remove the reference to the du Maupassant story, The Diary of a Madman? (A different story than The Horla!) 71.112.42.133 (talk) 18:14, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why it was removed before, but I removed it just now because there doesn't seem to be any article mentioning that this story exists. (It does seem strange that he would write a story with that title and then someone would adapt one of his other stories into a film of that title.) However, the issue is not really whether the story exists; it's that if there's no information in any article about a given topic, then there is no reason to list it on a disambiguation page.
