From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the AN/PAS-13 series of sights is also made by BAE Information and Electronic Warfare Systems and DRS Optronics. It is not an exlcusively Raytheon product. Also, the "B" version of the AN/PAS-13 is not the only version. I believe the most recent version is the "D" version. The most common in use is currently the "C" version. The military designation for LTWS is AN/PAS-13(V)1 x, the MTWS is AN/PAS-13(V)2 x, and the HTWS is AN/PAS-13(V)3 x, where x is the version number (I do not believe a... (V)1 B exists, the C is the lastest model for LWTS). I would request this article is cleaned up as it seems biased towards Raytheon and provides incomplete and inaccurate information. ...such is the result of an author simply stripping outside websites and articles into the Encyclopedia.

Edits for letter case

[edit]

Dicklyon, I noticed several edits you made changing letter case throughout the article. Some of them made sense (thank you). However, in some cases where the words are used to form acronyms, capitalized first letters seems both common and appropriate. For instance, Light Weapon Thermal Sight is followed directly in parentheses by (LWTS). Likewise, Thermal Weapon Sight is then (TWS). That format is commonly used throughout many sources, not just military documents. It is also common across Wikipedia articles. Do you know of some WP guidance or policy that directs otherwise? Thanks… — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 23:29, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
