Apologies
[edit]Although I edit a lot of articles, I don't create many and this article was published via my own sandbox when I should have used the article creation wizard. For anyone reading, should I re-submit the article in a different way? Apologies for any inconvenience caused in reviewing/approving this article. Not sure if the article title is clear but it should be: AFC Wimbledon–Milton Keynes Dons F.C. rivalry FilthyDon (talk) 08:14, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- No, please just help non-football-fan editors approve the article by indicating which sources demonstrate this subject's notability. Although I am British, I have zero knowledge about football. I need to verify whether this is a subject that has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources. --Salimfadhley (talk) 08:27, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Salimfadhley: I have responded to you on my talk page and disappointed you have not approved the draft at its first submission. If you have read all of the sources, there are frequent mentions of the ill feelings between the clubs, the mention of worldwide media coverage etc. Not sure why common sense hasn't prevailed here. Either way, I've added four new sources which specifically mention the rivalry, this should be more than sufficient. There are lots of similar approved articles with far less research than my draft. Draft has been re-submitted. FilthyDon (talk) 12:02, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Can you help me out here - can you pick three of the sources which provide significant coverage of this rivalry. I understand from speaking with soccer experts (of which I am not) that the rivalry is "well known" - I just want to determine whether it has had significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. --Salimfadhley (talk) 12:21, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Salimfadhley: I've re-submitted the draft and have included four additional sources in the draft's introduction (after the word rivalry) which provide signficant coverage. The sources are reliable, independent sources: Sky Sports, BBC, Surrey Live - the latter is a local, long-standing newspaper. I can provide others if needed but this should be more than sufficient to conclude there is a well-known rivalry here. FilthyDon (talk) 12:30, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- This will do nicely. All of these are reliable, independent and substantial coverage. --Salimfadhley (talk) 12:38, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the swift reconsideration. Have a good weekend. FilthyDon (talk) 13:05, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Consider a category of football club grudges
[edit]You mentioned other pages describing grudges between soccer clubs. Would you consider making a new category page to link these together. --Salimfadhley (talk) 12:40, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
