[edit]The structure cannot be right, it would lead to an immediate DNA strand break. 8-Oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine has, I think, and SciFinder shows it, 2 hydrogen atoms more. Who corrects it ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.89.79.134 (talk) 19:17, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

The structure depicted is not 8-Oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine; it's the wrong oxidation state and missing hydrogens on both imidazole nitrogens. On the pyrimidone, the NH should be between the amino and oxo. |
