2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Sub-regional Qualifier
[edit]This article (https://czarsportzauto.com/icc-americas-select-bermuda-tour-2024/) stated that the tournament is going to be held in December 2024. Pkr206 (talk) 19:20, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- This clearly states the dates. Not sure why the dates were removed earlier. 98.186.202.218 (talk) 21:50, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Pkr206 But how do you know it is a single group? Not sure the points table should be there yet. ICC previously said 8 or more teams would be in more than one group. Bs1jac (talk) 00:01, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes. It is difficult to believe they will do a round robin which would mean 36 matches crammed into 11 days. 129.15.65.245 (talk) 05:21, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- @129.15.65.245 although appatently it is! Bs1jac (talk) 22:09, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Dates are provided by the Mexico cricket
[edit]https://www.mexicocricket.org/event-details/world-cup-qualifiers They have clearly mentioned these dates. Please don't remove the dates. 2600:8803:B122:E100:792D:6970:ED39:7709 (talk) 23:53, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- @PEditorS10, Godknowme1, Kumarpramit, MNWiki845, Goodknowme, Bs1jac, Pkr206, Ankurc.17, Joseph2302, and Sush150: Is this source really about this event, because it actually says,
This is a qualifying knockout tournament that will take place in late 2024 in Argentina with the aim of earning a place to participate in the Cricket World Cup.
- not T20WC. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 04:50, 11 October 2024 (UTC)- Can't say anything just by this little information.Godknowme1 (talk) 06:25, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- I know about T20WC but it mentioned about Cricket World Cup by @Vestrian24Bio, I can't say anything. But it should be talking about T20 World Cup Americas Sub-regional Qualifier. Goodknowme (talk) 06:34, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- As per my knowledge there is no event about Cricket World Cup in Argentina. It must be T20 World Cup. Goodknowme (talk) 06:36, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Vestrian24Bio It is definitely what they mean. To a nation like Mexico who has no pathway to the 50 over cwc, the t20wc is their 'world cup'.
- A little bit weak for a main reference though. Bs1jac (talk) 07:03, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- It’s the official cricket mexico website. It had all the details about the WSAC (which they have removed after the tournament ended) listed. The word ‘knockout’ must be a typo but the website is oretty reliable. There is no other qualifier going on in Argentina in December either. 2600:8803:B122:E100:C13F:9192:B4E:B20B (talk) 15:23, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- By weak, I just meant that there was little solid information, typos, etc. (The official website would of course be fine, although not an independent source) Bs1jac (talk) 10:51, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
Layout
[edit]@Mohammed07102007 I split the fixtures into 'rounds' for this one as there are so many matches all in one group. This makes it easier to edit and also looks tidy to the reader. We have done it this way in a number of other events (e.g., 2024 Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament). Bs1jac (talk) 12:22, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Mashfi23 Splitting by 'rounds' makes it easier to edit and looks tidy when there are lots of games. The fixture list published by ICC Americas also did it this way. A round in this context is simply round of fixtures. If you prefer, an alternative would be 'Days' (as used in things like the Kwibuka). Bs1jac (talk) 09:26, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Also similar here for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL). Perhaps "Day" is better to avoid any confusion (although 'round' is pretty clear to me) Bs1jac (talk) 15:40, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
