The result of the move request was: moved. Per consensus. – robertsky (talk) 04:57, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
2023 takeover of Telewizja Polska → 2023 Polish public media crisis – The proposed name better describes the subject matter of the article, as it deals not only with TVP, but also with other public media, and describes not only the media takeover itself, but the protests and controversies associated with it. In addition, the proposed name sounds more neutral Antoniciagala (talk) 16:00, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support. Artemis Andromeda (talk) 18:41, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support, particularly as the lead does not even make it clear 'takeover by whom'. The proposed title is more neutral too. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:45, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support: this appears to be a stand-off between the old and new governments. --Minoa (talk) 04:55, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support, more neutral wording. NicolausPrime (talk) 07:24, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support, neutral. PaulGorduiz106 (talk) 02:01, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
Oppose There is no crisis. It's just a restructuring. The most neutral wording would be 2023 Polish public media restructuring. HetmanWL (talk) 16:10, 30 December 2023 (UTC)sock strike – robertsky (talk) 04:53, 5 January 2024 (UTC)- I am open to accept "2023 Polish public media restructuring" or "2023 Polish public media controversy". --Minoa (talk) 01:19, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support, as it explains the larger context of the event and is more neutral. JohnAdams1800 (talk) 18:38, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
There is no crisis though. The main news program emitted a minute-long episode at 7:30 PM on December 20th, and already on December 21st the full-length program. On December 29th, TVP INFO went on air again. Polish Radio and PAP are also working. HetmanWL (talk) 22:20, 30 December 2023 (UTC)sock strike – robertsky (talk) 04:53, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This name change discussion implies that this article's coverage will be extended to other affected companies, so someone needs to write how the Culture Ministry's decision affected Polskie Radio (PR) and Polish Press Agency (PAP) as well. Also, there needs to be a clarification that all three companies (TVP, PR, PAP) are either "public-service media" or "public-sector media". JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 06:50, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support renaming to "2023 Telewizja Polska reformation campaign" as a more neutral term. Hu753 (talk) 10:53, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
