The five nations that are tied are ranked on head-to-head basis: CZE have three wins, Canada just one. Russia, Japan, and Sweden all have two, so their next tie breaker is amongst themselves where Russia has two wins, Sweden one, and Japan none. Only teams ranked fourth or lower play in tie breaking games, so the Czechs, and Russians proceed to the page playoffs. Hey no worries, take a look at 2011 euro championship as a guide, there is no guarantee I haven't overlooked something obvious though, I'm old. FYI, that Japan game is odd, shows an official score of 6, when they scored 8.18abruce (talk) 15:34, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, based on how last years tournament proceeded, I may be wrong. There was a four way tie for third, and all four teams played in tie-breakers. So I stand by how I ranked them, but the playoff procedure may be different, my apologies.18abruce (talk) 16:04, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
