[edit]Would you be so kind to show the Catalan flag instead of the Spanish in the same way that you would show the Scotish flag if the winner was Celtic Glasgow — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.39.224.91 (talk) 09:27, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- No. The Catalan FA is not affiliated to FIFA. – PeeJay 12:40, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- See which is the flag of Barcelona supporters in 'Camp Nou' and in the main important matches the team plays everywhere. You'll never see the Spanish flag.Your administrative reason is against the Barca genuine soul. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.39.224.91 (talk) 12:01, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- And yet the "administrative" reason is the only reason that matters. – PeeJay 12:12, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Why. Why does Fifa decide which is the genuine Barca's flag! If you belong to Fifa you have a flag. If you don't belong then they have right to give you whatever they think it should be your flag. No fair play, mate 100% Celtic..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.39.224.91 (talk) 12:31, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Barcelona qualified for the Champions League through the Spanish league, did they not? And they competed in the Champions League as representatives of Spain, yes? And they also competed in the Club World Cup as a Spanish club. There is no argument here, so you are wasting your time. – PeeJay 13:16, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Representatives of Spain...You say that. As a Spanish club...No. FC Barcelona is a Catalan team and it represents Catalonia. It is amazing that a Welsh citizen, Celtic 100%, is not able to understand it. Wikipedia is not a Fifa delegation.Fifa standards are not Wikipedia standards. Monaco plays the French league but in Europe its flag is not the French. And I don't think that I am wasting my time because I have the right to exchange the flag if I am editor. Before I become wikipedia editor, I was trying that you understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.39.224.91 (talk) 15:35, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- Erm, no, Monaco represents France in UEFA competitions because they qualify through the French league. And no, you do not have the right to apply your own standards to Wikipedia just because you feel like it. We understand that Barcelona has very strong Catalan connections, but it is not possible to qualify for European competitions through any Catalan leagues or cups. You definitely would be wasting your time if you engaged in this pointless pursuit. – PeeJay 18:12, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
- PeeJay's right, Barcelona may be from Catalonia, but as he said, the Catalan FA isn't affiliated with FIFA and Barcelona won the Spanish League and they represented Spain in the Champions League and the Club World Cup so it's obvious, they're a Spanish Club. – Michael (talk) 04:59, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
