Math?

[edit]

These resulted in the deaths of eight Christians including four women, a child and a man. 8 =/= 4 + 1 + 1

Should we trim the number down to 6, or raise the other part? Xasf (talk) 19:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Number of dead = 8, the other part needs to be raised. Pahari Sahib 20:10, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've amended it to just note the numbers of women and children, it does say including so therefore is part of the toll. Pahari Sahib 20:13, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It adds up OK with the "and a man" part removed. Take care Xasf (talk) 22:36, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Attack type

[edit]

The article box says "Attack type: Shooting", yet according to the main text "the victims were all burnt alive"?! Apcbg (talk) 15:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have corrected it.yousaf465

Terror ?

[edit]

Has this anything to do with terrorism ? It's what called mob politics not terrorism. see zoot riots.yousaf465

absolutely Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan is a well known sunni wahhabi "terrorist" organization.Wikireader41 (talk) 21:40, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wikireader41 come out of it no source say that these attacks were terrorism, they use words such as "mob attack", riots , and religious riots etc.yousaf465
multiple RS say that Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (which GOP has banned as a "terrorist" organization) did it. their attacks constitute terrorism for almost everyone except their most ardent sympathizers who think of it as Jihad or Holy war. by your analogy 9/11 would be an "airplane attack" not terrorism. get a grip. ;-) Wikireader41 (talk) 18:21, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can you identity any source which say gojra riots were act of terrorism ? 9/11 was described as terrorism by multiple sources but I can't find a single source which say that these were acts of terrorism.yousaf465
what do you think Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan is ??? religious organization feeding the poor. Pakistan government has declared it a terrorist organization. it is clear from RS that this was their operation. or are you implying that this was not done by SSP ??? even if this was done by RAW/ CIA /Mossad the RS are not attributing it to it. please answer these 2 questions before debating this any further. also you might want to start reading Pakistani newspapers like this one Gojra tragedy was a pre-planned terrorist attack, Gojra still tense as Rangers patrol town. looks like cases have been registered against 800 for "terrorism". Wikireader41 (talk) 15:21, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also Yousuf you might want to pay attention to what Punjabs law minister Rana Sanaullah[1] had to say. ‘We have identified those who attacked. They are terrorists, these people want to destabilise our country,’ he told reporters.[2] you would hope he knows what he is talking about and what laws to use to prosecute these people. stop pushing Wahhabi POV. Wikireader41 (talk) 15:57, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You would had said the same thing without accusing me of anything. O.k you may add it, but remember your behaviour didn't go well with me. --yousaf465 07:33, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry if I offended you by calling you a wahhabi POV pusher. I am glad though you agree that good people in Pakistan think of this as "terrorism" and hopefully will successfully prosecute it as such. Cheers . Wikireader41 (talk) 01:55, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the line "including four women and a child" redundant/sexist?

[edit]

Why does the opening paragraph say 8 Christians were killed: "including four women and a child"? What difference does it make? Are women and children's lives more valuable/notable than the other MEN that were killed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.159.111.98 (talk) 04:43, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
