Untitled 2007 comment
[edit]i want this page to be a history of hip hop in 2007, an overlook at the industry for those who listen to the music and watch the industry.Knowledgeman66 16:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC) 17.07 8 July 2007
Citing sales sources
[edit]Please cite the sales sources as well as chart positions. These figures are most likely available at the RIAA and Billboard websites. Sokmonkey77 22:35, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]I understand that the page creator wants this to be a history of hip hop in 2007, but I think it should be merged with 2007 in music because if we have this page, we ought to have 2007 in country music, 2007 in polka, 2007 in rock music, etc. Not a lot of references either, that should be fixed if you want this page to stay. I disagree, hip hop is big enough in this year to have it's own article about the year. West Coast Ryda 10:02, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
The creator says: how about changing it from 2007 in hip hop to hip hop timeline. My intention was to document hip hop events and history, that would do just as well. Does anyone have interest in helping out? Knowledgeman66 15:54 19 October 2007
There has to be a big 50 cent fan here. He is trying to make 50 cent's sales higher. 50 cent's 2nd album sold 1.14 million copies on its first week not 1.4 million. Also Kanye West's 2nd album sold 5 million copies worldwide not 3 million copies.Upol007 (talk) 13:22, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Not Yet Updated!
[edit]This page was nominated for deletion on 1 November 2009. The result of discussion was to keep it. So when is this going to be updated? Those interested in mending not ending this article should step up and mend it. Even those who voted to keep admit it's poorly done. Also Hiphop is not just about who charted during the year. What did Heiroglyphics and other major independent hiphoppas do in 2007? Wack history is worse than no history. This page should be nominated for deletion if not updated by 1 November 2010.
