[edit]this article is not accurate. it is very clear, if you were to read the history of the nba playoffs is that the seattle sonics completely owned the l.a. lakers! go seattle!!!! jk!
First-round pairings
[edit]Does anyone know why the first-round pairings aren't consistent? In the west the matchups were 1–4 and 2–3 whereas in the east they were 1–3 and 2–4. NBA.com's history section gives no insight.
- Thank you for pointing this out. Whoever edited the playoff seedings was incorrect. The Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns had identical records at 39-43 during the 1969-70 season, but Chicago won the season series 5-2 to become the third seed in the Western Division playoffs. Phoenix was the fourth seed. I've corrected the article to reflect this. — Myasuda (talk) 22:33, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
