The result of the move request was: Moved. (non-admin closure) – Ammarpad (talk) 06:50, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
16th Air Force → Sixteenth Air Force – To comply with WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME (An article about a unit, formation, or base should be placed at the official name used by the armed forces to which the unit or base belongs.) The proper name of this establishment is with number spelled out. This change is also needed to be consistent with articles on other USAF numbered air forces. The page was originally created under the requested name. It was moved to "16th Air Force" without discussion. Lineagegeek (talk) 22:47, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Support per above, also consistent with other Numbered Air Forces. —Nemoschool (talk to me) 01:44, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- Strongly support The United States Airforce has 25 numbered Air Force's numbered sequencially 1 through 25. On wikipedia all 25 of the airforces have the number in their name spelled out except three 16th Air Force, 15th Expeditionary Mobility Task Force and 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force. I will support changing the otehr two as well if they are put up for nomination. Boston1775 (talk) 09:52, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- Air Mobility Task Forces, unlike Numbered Air Forces are numbered with Arabic Numbers . However, ten days after inactivation the other two NAFs were redesignated back to their traditional names, so the pages probably ought to be at Fifteenth Air Force and Twenty-First Air Force. --Lineagegeek (talk) 21:22, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- As they are now. So this is now the only article. Lineagegeek (talk) 19:44, 14 January 2020 (UTC)

16th Task Forces
[edit]There probably needs to be an article with this name. The Task Forces are not the same unit as Sixteenth Air Force. I've removed the portions of their lineage, particularly since 16 AF was active at Ramstein AB during this time, but have not attempted to edit the History (which is incorrect) to give some time for anyone interested to use as a basis for this proposed article. --Lineagegeek (talk) 13:51, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
