Symbiosexuality

Symbiosexuality is an orientation of a one's sexual attraction towards two people's relationship based on the charisma and synergy prevalent among them. The attraction is based on the bonding of love in the established couples. Symbiosexuality is a type of sexual identity different from bisexuality, pansexuality, asexuality, and polysexuality.

Meaning

Symbiosexuals are drawn towards an established couples based on the loving synergy present in the later.[1] Symbosexuals are drawn to the couples based on the support and trust in a relationship.[2] It is a method in which identified with similar feelings gets connected to a pre-existing couple with a similar energy.[3] They can be from any age group.[4]

Symbiosexuality is different from bisexuality, pansexuality, asexuality and polysexuality.[5]

Research

Symbiosexuality as an attraction is highlighted in the study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior,[6] where the behaviour of participants towards third person's synergy due to attraction based on romantic and sexual energy was discovered.[7]

Symbiosexuality is defined with following features:[7]

  • Relationship based attraction.[8]
  • Attraction based on energy between two couples.[9]
  • Attraction to existing couples which is not sex based.[10]
  • Can include more than two people.[11]

Limitation

Symbiosexual person,in the study, are also found to be victimized by Ostracized and Objectified ending up being poorly treated due to this behaviour.[12]

Phenomenon corresponds to the "attraction to energy, multidimensionality and shared power between people in relationships".[13] Symbiosexuality is an individual experience of sexual and/or romantic attraction through the "synergy" or "third force" created by a couple - it also serves for triads and other polyamorous formats, since we are talking about how this partnership works.[14][15]
