José Rubén Figueroa Smutny (born 13 April 1967) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). In the 2003 mid-terms he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the 4th district of Guerrero during the 59th session of Congress. He had previously served in the Congress of Guerrero (1999–2002).[1]
He is the son of Rubén Figueroa Alcocer, who served as governor of Guerrero from 1993 to 1996.[2]
