Robert McGee

Robert W. McGee (born 1947)[1] is an American perpetual student, author and professor at Fayetteville State University.[2]

Early life and education

McGee is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania.[3] He was raised Catholic.[4]

He started his education by graduating with a bachelor's degree from Gannon University in 1969.[5] Wanting to land a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, McGee began earning a large number of college degrees.[6] His first doctorate-level degree was a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland State University College of Law.[7] McGee has earned 23 academic degrees, 13 of which are at the doctorate level.[8]

McGee currently teaches at the Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University.[21] He has written more than 60 nonfiction books, 5 novels, and over 1000 scholarly papers.[21] McGee initially began writing mainly technical articles and books.[26]

Martial arts

McGee practiced martial arts as a teenager.[26] He worked as a boxing sparring partner[3] However, as an adult, McGee began practicing Taekwondo again.[27] He also began practicing Karate and Tai Chi. He is now a martial arts instructor.

He has won world championships in Taekwondo, karate, kung fu and tai chi, as well as medals in national (USA) championships.[citation needed] In 2017, he was inducted at the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.[21][28]
