The Cangrejal River, or Río Cangrejal, is a river that drains several mountain tributaries and borders the rainforest of Pico Bonito National Park near La Ceiba, Honduras.[1][2] The river offers some of the best whitewater rafting opportunities in Central America.[opinion]
History
[edit]In 2020 and 2024, due to Hurricane Eta and Tropical Storm Sara respectively, Saopin bridge in La Ceiba collapsed into the river.[3]
