QuillBot is a software developed in 2017 that uses artificial intelligence to rewrite and paraphrase text.[1][2][3][4]

Reception and impact

According to a 30 under 30 listing on Forbes QuillBot has a user base that includes both free and premium subscribers. The listing also states that in August 2023, QuillBot was acquired by Course Hero.[5] On August 21, 2021, Course Hero published an announcement stating it had acquired QuillBot.[6]

Education

Research from 2021 proposed that QuillBot could potentially be used for paraphrasing tasks, but indicated the importance of English language proficiency for using it properly.[7][8][9]
