Preston-le-Skerne[1] is a hamlet in the civil parish of Mordon, County Durham, England. It is situated a short distance to the east of Newton Aycliffe.
History
[edit]Preston-le-Skerne was formerly a township in the parish of Aycliffe,[2] in 1866 Preston le Skerne became a separate civil parish,[3] on 1 April 1983 the parish was abolished and merged with Mordon.[4] In 1971 the parish had a population of 81.[5]
