Nice job
[edit]Nice job, Quasipalm. How often do people think we should update this? Are there any ideas how we can make this better?--Pharos 17:12, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
- It seems to me that the best way to improve it (and it does look good) would be to fix the red links not in the "requests" section. --Merovingian (t) (c) 11:28, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Great, thanks for the feedback. I suppose we can update it weekly -- that seems to be the most common thing to do on portals. But there isn't probably a rush to update it until more people know about it. I was kind of waiting for feedback before linking to the portal from the NYC article -- get some eyes on it and listen to suggestions before putting all the way out there. --Quasipalm 13:55, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Just wanted to add my thanks, I'm sure many others appreciate this great portal - look forward to contributing and watching it develop! --18:54, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yep, more input is needed. --Merovingian (t) (c) 14:19, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Which is actually why I linked to it from the NYC article; that's gotta be the most effective way to get eyes on it :)--Pharos 16:18, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, that sounds about right. Best of luck, --Merovingian (t) (c) 22:09, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Notice from the Portals WikiProject
[edit]WikiProject Portals is back!
The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.
As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.
There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.
Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.
And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.
From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely, — The Transhumanist 07:39, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

The time allocated for running scripts has expired.
[edit]The portal is currently showing me "The time allocated for running scripts has expired." in red (10 times) as well as all/some of the portal content. Does anyone know how to fix it? DexDor (talk) 19:59, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- DexDor, Should have been fixed by moving the DYK and News sections to cached subpages to avoid running the script each time the page is loaded. If there still are problems please ping me. --Trialpears (talk) 21:48, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
