I wish to link with this page. My site is www.houghton.hk. The five chapters on Europe, Political Management, Political Economy, Asia and China contain considerable original information between 1793 - 1844 on the Empire. There is more information in several other chapters as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.245.207.36 (talk) 00:46, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have some problems with the evolution of the British Empire map, I would argue anywhere that Queen Elizebeth II is still the Queen of of could be counted as a part of the British Empire, barring that I would argue that when the constitution's were patriated (1982 in the case of Canada) would be better place to have them withdraw from the Empire than the Statute of Westminster, as many, many people would have been suprised to learn that the Statue of Westminster involved them withdrawing from the British Empire Threadnecromancer (talk) 00:37, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Threadnecromancer

Falklands/Port Egmont
[edit]The British Empire and Commonwealth of Nations South Atlantic section only has the Falkland Islands as since 1833. However should the earlier 18th century British settlement Port Egmont not also be mentioned? Dunarc (talk) 22:32, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
2020 portal updates
[edit]The following updates have been performed to the British Empire portal in April 2020. North America1000 13:21, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Updated portal using Template:Transclude random excerpt, which provides readers with current, up-to-date information that is verbatim to that in articles. A consensus approving the usage of transclusion templates in portals was formed at this Village Pump discussion. Used selections moved to the main portal page from Portal:British Empire/Selected article and Portal:British Empire/Selected biography.
- Changed the box coloration from bot-generated back to human-created. Used the hex codes of the British empire flag for the coloration.
- Restored the Portal:British Empire/British overseas territories section
- Added more articles to diversify and round-out the portal, to provide a more comprehensive topical overview.
