- 1864 – London, Chatham and Dover Railway extends from Elephant & Castle to Blackfriars Bridge.
- 1877 – District Railway extends from Hammersmith to Ravenscourt Park where it connects to the London and South Western Railway and extends to Richmond.
- 1910 – District Railway starts an excursion service over the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway from Barking to Southend.
- 1910 – Metropolitan Railway begins operating Pullman carriages on selected trains between Baker Street and Amersham, Aylesbury, Chesham or Verney Junction.
- 1916 – Passenger services through the Snow Hill tunnel end.
- 1919 – The Royal Air Force turns over Hounslow Heath Aerodrome to civilian use.
- 1964 – British Rail goods services between Finsbury Park and Edgware stations end.
- 2000 – A Real Irish Republican Army bomb explodes on Hammersmith Bridge closing the bridge for traffic for two years.
- 2016 – Tramlink routes appear on the standard Tube Map for the first time.
