Phycomelaina is a genus of fungi in the family Phyllachoraceae.[1] This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Phycomelaina laminariae.
In Iceland, it has been reported infecting Alaria esculenta, Laminaria digitata and Saccharina latissima.[2]
