Oxfordshire Football Association, also simply known as the Oxfordshire FA, is the not-for-profit governing body of football in the county of Oxfordshire.[1]
History
[edit]Oxfordshire FA were founded on 26 January 1884. The original members of the association were:
- Ark House School (Banbury)
- Banbury Harriers
- Banbury Rovers
- Bicester
- Bloxham School
- Caversham
- Culham College
- Friar Park (Henley)
- Oxford County School (Thame)
- Shennington
- Thame
On 9 September 1999 at an extra-ordinary meeting of the Association, a proposal was carried that from 29 September 1999 the Oxfordshire Football Association be dissolved and be reformed as the Oxfordshire Football Association Limited. This created a Limited Company by guarantee.
