Nindaroo is a rural locality in the Mackay Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Nindaroo had a population of 255 people.[1]
History
[edit]Nindaroo Provisional School opened on 27 February 1899. On 1 January 1909 it became Nindaroo State School, before closing in 1963.[3] The school was located at 1 Boveys Road, corner of Mackay Habana Road (21°04′56″S 149°08′31″E / 21.08220°S 149.14186°E), now in neighbouring Richmond.[4][5][6]
Demographics
[edit]In the 2016 census Nindaroo had a population of 239 people.[7]
In the 2021 census, Nindaroo had a population of 255 people.[1]
