Navdeep Singh (born 11 November 2000) is an Indian para-athlete and javelin thrower.[1] He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.[2] He has also been a bronze medalist at the World Championships.[3]

Personal life

Navdeep Singh hails from Panipat, Haryana, India.[4] His father was a farmer in the village and also ran a milk dairy in the city.

He did his graduation from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.

Career

In 2017, Singh won the gold medal for India in the men's javelin F41 event at Asian Youth Para Games, Dubai.[5] He proceeded to win the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2021 in Dubai.[6][7]

Singh finished fourth in javelin throw F41 at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.[8] He is also a Income tax inspector.
