I have tried with Safari and Firefox, with Mac OS X 10.4.8 system : the marker is not at the right place... a little too much in the north. check Ixelles for example. David Descamps 08:00, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- In my browser (IE7.0 in Windows XP) it was a bit too far to the right, but it's perfect now, see Jette for example. My criterium is the middle of the dot. Is it OK for you now? The coordinates for Ixelles point to the intersection of chaussée d'Ixelles and rue de la Tulipe according to Google maps, that's in the northern part of the municipality. - It is not really good with my browsers... the middle of the dot for Schaerbeek is outside Brussel Region. :-s Have you tried with Firefox? David Descamps 20:19, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe it's a general problem with the Location map templates and IE7, the locations for Swiss towns (e.g. Locarno, Geneva, Luzern) are too far south in my browser. I don't have other browsers. Markussep 21:10, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- You got a nice excuse to switch to Firefox. It's free and it's better ;-) To calculate the coordinates at the image's borders, I didn't use my browser : I just checked lenght in pixel and considered lenght in degrees [1]. David Descamps 12:36, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure whether the Location map template places the centre or the top left edge of the dot on the specified position. It's always good to check if it ends up OK. Do you see the Swiss places correctly? Geneva should be on the southwestern tip of Lac Leman, for instance. BTW it doesn't really help if only I switch to Firefox, so must all other readers of Wikipedia ;-). Markussep 17:58, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I used the Lageplan template on my user page User:Markussep/Luxembourg. It's supposed to be the location of Jette (northwestern edge of the Brussels Capital Region). Is it OK in your browser? Markussep 19:08, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Seems OK. David Descamps 11:49, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Four more test municipalities on User:Markussep/Luxembourg. If they're OK in your browser as well, I'll replace the map template. Markussep 19:23, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
