Margan (Persian: مارگان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Margan Rural District[4] of the Central District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 207 in 45 households, when it was in the former Miyan Kongi District of Zabol County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 180 people in 52 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hirmand County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 219 people in 72 households.[2]
