The Kano State Police Command is a law enforcement agency responsible for maintaining peace and security in Kano State, Nigeria. Like other state police commands in Nigeria, it is part of the Nigerian Police Force and operates at the state level. The commissioner of the command Usaini Muhammad Gumel is appointed by the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba as the 45th commissioner.[1][2] Kano State Police operates under the Nigerian Police Act & Regulations CAP. P19. LFN 2004.[3]
