University of Nicosia (UNIC) is a private university based in Nicosia, Cyprus. It has over 12,000 students enrolled from over 70 countries.[1]

In September 2007, Intercollege of Nicosia became the University of Nicosia, Cyprus.[2] It later split from the rest of the University of Nicosia.

University of Nicosia's campus is greater than 100.000 square meters.[3]

The University houses the largest medical school in the country and offers three different medical programmes: 1) A 6-year undergraduate entry Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme; 2) A 4-year graduate entry Doctor of Medicine Degree (GEMD) designed for those holding university degrees in any field; and 3) a 4-year graduate entry Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) British medical degree offered in collaboration with St George's University of London and awarded by the UK General Medical Council.[4][5]
