So what about on a Mac? I'd love to use BBEdit for this. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 08:31, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some of us are just ordinary users who want to be able to edit easily.

[edit]

Wikipedia seems to be the domain of tech heads!

As an ordinary user interested in making a decent entry, with tables, pictures etc (not on this Wiki, but another Wikimedia project), I want to find a simple to use editor that is a bit better than the very basic editor.

So I came looking here, and all I found was tech speak!

Any hope for a simple installing application. Seems to me it is long overdue!

Thats not what this is for. This is for editing the wikitext in a program like notepad (where you might get features like find and replace), you're not getting wysiwyg editing with this feature. If its a non-wikimedia wiki, consider mw:extension:FCKeditor (Official). Bawolff (talk) 21:07, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
