Eublemma is a genus of moths of the family Erebidae described by Jacob Hübner in 1829.

Taxonomy

The genus has previously been classified in the subfamily Eublemminae within Erebidae or in the subfamily Eustrotiinae of the family Noctuidae.[2][3]

Description

Its palpi are upturned and reach just above the vertex of the head, and have a short third joint. The antennae are minutely ciliated in the male. Thorax and abdomen smoothly scaled. Legs short, tibia moderately hairy. Forewings with somewhat produced and depressed apex. Veins 6 and 7 from angle of cell and veins 8 to 10 stalked from before angle. Hindwings with veins 3,4 and 6,7 from angles of cell. Larva with two pairs of abdominal prolegs.[4]
