There seems to be a rendering error causing "CURRENT and NEW" to appear as "and CURRENT NEW" on both IE and Firefox when this image pops up in the edit window. I imagine it can't be just me who sees this. The image appears normally when viewing it by itself in the browser or in Inkscape. I am very new to SVG and there are a lot of things I don't understand, so I don't know how to fix this. Soap Talk/Contributions 03:48, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, as I read this it says "Replace the word with your CURRENT current username, and with your NEW desired name?" That really doesn't make sense. It should instead say something like "Replace the word CURRENT with your current username, and replace the word NEW with your desired username?" Kingturtle (talk) 15:42, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- It should and it does, provided you click the image itself to view it directly instead of using the MediaWiki software to render it. This is a bug. Whether it's a bug in MediaWiki, SVG, or various browsers, I can't say. I have talked to a couple of other people about this and they've told me that there are in fact quite a few images suffering from this kind of bug; you can view some of them here. I don't know if fixing them is really even possible right now. Soap Talk/Contributions 17:04, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
A further problem with the file is that the blue text lines look like they should be links, but are not. --Dweller (talk) 16:24, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Nichalp isn't around anymore. Someone else will have to create a new File to replace this one. Kingturtle (talk) 01:26, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've asked for help a few times and everyone tells me the same thing I've verified myself, namely that the image renders properly in the editor and that it's MediaWiki that has a problem. Is it possible to just replace the image with a PNG file or does it have to be SVG? Soap Talk/Contributions 02:49, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have no objections to whatever format, so long as it works. --Dweller (talk) 09:27, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

If a new version is produced, please can we ensure that if things look like links (blue!) they are actually links. Ta. --Dweller (talk) 23:59, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
- This problem persists. Why does this have to be an image at all? Couldn't we just achieve the same purpose (and also enable easier editing of the editnotice) using wikitext? –xenotalk 18:45, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
