{{rename media|University of Edinburgh ceremonial roundel.svg|reason=I am the Wikimedian in Residence at University of Edinburgh. I have been asked to get this image renamed more accurately as being the '''University of Edinburgh ceremonial roundel''' by the University''s brand guardians at the Communications & Marketing department. It is not the corporate logo. The ceremonial roundel is restricted usage for only ''ceremonial'' use only such as graduation, University court papers etc. I include the university's Brand guidelines document by way of evidence: http://www.ed.ac.uk/files/atoms/files/university-of-edinburgh-logo-guide.pdf}}

Hi, I am the Wikimedian at University of Edinburgh. Please could someone help me with moving this file to University of Edinburgh ceremonial roundel.svg and add |caption=Ceremonial roundel to the infobox as this file is not the University logo. I have been advised by the university's brand guardians at the Communications & Marketing department that this is the ceremonial roundel and only to be used for ceremonial situations. I include the university's brand guidelines by way of evidence: http://www.ed.ac.uk/files/atoms/files/university-of-edinburgh-logo-guide.pdf Stinglehammer (talk) 19:12, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- It seems you're asking for the only legitimate instance of use of this file to be removed. Then the file should be deleted. I don't think we need to bother with renaming it before deleting it. Huon (talk) 19:41, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- On second thought I changed my opinion and moved the file. See Talk:University of Edinburgh#The ceremonial roundel / university logo for the relevant discussion. Huon (talk) 21:23, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
