Can someone make a similar map indicating targets for Americian ICBMs in Soviet Union? This would make an interesting comparison. Primary targets in SU were less distributed in area.Garret Beaumain (talk) 15:48, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

lol

[edit]

They'd bomb Trenton and not NYC. Class move. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.137.229.103 (talk) 04:14, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Primary NM targets are not urban areas, where only civilians live, but military bases, especially NM ones.

What is the purpose of this image?

[edit]

If it were just the red circles indicating primary targets of a Soviet first strike against US strategic nuclear assets it might make sense but to include the resulting fallout zones seems to indicate that nothing else would happen afterward even though using the terms: "primary targets" strongly implies the existence of secondary targets and so on. Source?

[edit]

There doesn't appear to be a source for this, except FEMA which is not very useful. Sjö (talk) 10:45, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
